Gray Buffalo is a JV between the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 affiliated company, Gray Wolf Oil Field Services and Buffalo Inspection Services (2005).
Buffalo is enjoying the opportunity to work with Gray Wolf Oil Field Services through the Gray Buffalo JV. Our collective goals are to provide technology based, site-specific NDE solutions that help reduce costs, increase productivity and promote growth for our customers. In addition, we encourage and assist indigenous members in achieving their career goals in the sustainable industry of NDE. For this, we are committed to training and the mentoring of community members and we encourage all of our partners to network together to ensure maximum member employment.
Gray Buffalo – The Details
- Formed newly incorporated Joint Venture with Gray Wolf Oil Field Services Ltd.
- 51% aboriginal ownership (through Gray Wolf Oil Field Services Ltd.) and 49% owned by Buffalo Inspection Services
- Member of NAABA – Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association https://www.naaba.ca/
- Has partnership as well with White Buffalo Mine Services (100% NAABA) who offers a complete range of equipment maintenance solutions to customers throughout Northern Alberta at the Oil Sands sites.

A Beneficial Merger
At Buffalo Inspection Services we believe our new Joint Venture with Gray Wolf Oil Field Services (GWOFS) to form Gray Buffalo NDE Services Ltd will be beneficial to many stakeholder groups.
This partnership will help foster Aboriginal participation through relevant training, employment opportunities and sub-contractor development. We will continually endeavour to begin with and maintain, through each project, sensitivity concerning the communities in which we are operating.
