Buffalo Inspection Services Inc. is committed to the Aboriginal communities where we are working. Through developing relationships built on trust, respect, honesty and inclusion, Buffalo focuses on client consultation and collaboration, allowing for the development of an operational plan that brings value to Aboriginal communities.
Buffalo Inspection services currently has 5% of our existing staff as status Aboriginal people. At Buffalo, we understand and respect the rights and heritage of Aboriginal people. We recently entered into a Joint Venture with Gray Wolf Oil Field Services (GWOFS) to form Gray Buffalo NDE Services Ltd. GWOFS is a company operated and managed by Kevin Moffat, a Professional Engineer and entrepreneur that has been a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 for 8 years.
This partnership will help foster Aboriginal participation through relevant training, employment opportunities and sub-contractor development. We will continually endeavour to begin with and maintain, through each project, sensitivity concerning the communities in which we are operating. We believe that Aboriginal communities play a significant role in the development of our natural resources and we will continue the recruitment of Aboriginal peoples into our company both permanently and on a job-to-job basis.
Buffalo has a broad and comprehensive distribution of local offices across western Canada in support of local community support and development. We currently have fully operational offices staffed in Fort St John, Kelowna, Edmonton, Edson, and Grande Prairie. In each of these locations we are endeavoring to identify and collaborate with Aboriginal companies and bands, to ensure we are supporting our ongoing belief that partnerships of this kind are reflective of a true community spirit and respect for Aboriginal people in these locations.
